How I Sold A Cryotherapy Business
Creating and then selling a business is one of the most rewarding experiences an entrepreneur can ever have. My sister and I created a cryotherapy and wellness model that was so appreciated that other people wanted to buy it.
Here are some tips for selling a cryotherapy or wellness business
Loyal customers are great candidates to become owners
They love your business, they understand your business and most of all appreciate your business.
Network around as much as possible
Everyday there is someone out there around the world exploring the idea of entering the wellness industry. There's a strong chance they don't even know the opportunity exists to purchase your wellness company. So put the word out there within your network that you're considering selling, I would caution against telling customers, and I know that sounds strange after telling you above that loyal customers could be great candidates to own your business so hear me out real quick. There is a huge difference between loyal wellness customers and regular members. A solid cryotherapy spa or wellness company is only going to have around what I call 5-10 loyal customers.
List your business online
Biz Buy Sell is a good starting point. I would recommend advertising a lower price point so you can get more leads. You don't have to stick to the price point listed but its a great way to get conversations started. After all this is your company, your baby and you don't have to sell your wellness company for anything less than you believe it deserves.
Be realistic about the opportunity but also hype the potential
Cryotherapy is not an easy business model, it's however an incredibly rewarding business to own and run. Cryotehrapy is also still a brand new industry in the same line as most other wellness niches like floating, Infared Saunas's and IV Drip companies. There will be growing pains but the potential of the cryotherapy industry is huge! When I first opened up in 2014 there were only around 25 cryotherapy spa's in the country, now there has to be close to 2,000 businesses running cryotherapy in the U.S.
I hope these tips helped and hopefully if you're looking to exit, you will be the next cryotherapy owner to sell their business.
